திலகத்திற்கு நினைவாஞ்சலி நிகழ்ச்சி சென்னை தியாகராய நகர் வாணி மகால் அரங்கில்
21 ஜூலை 2009 அன்று மாலை 6.30 மணிக்கு நடைபெற்றது. நிகழ்ச்சியின் தொடக்கமாக
நடிகர் திலகத்தின் காவிய படைப்பான வியட்நாம் வீடு நாடகம் யூ.ஏ.ஏ. குழுவினரால்
நடத்தப் பெற்றது. பிரெஸ்டீஜ் பத்மநாப அய்யராக திரு ஒய்.ஜி. மகேந்திரா, சாவித்திரியாக
நித்யா, பஞ்சாபி அய்யராக சுப்புணி மற்றும் இதர கலைஞர்கள் உயிரோட்டமாகவும்
நெஞ்சைத் தொடும் வகையிலும் நடித்திருந்தனர். நாடகத்தைத் தொடர்ந்து நினைவாஞ்சலி
நடைபெற்றது. இதில் தளபதி ராம்குமார், தென்னிந்திய நடிகர் சங்கத்தின் செயலாளர்
ராதாரவி, டாக்டர் எம்.என். ராஜம், மற்றும் கவிப்பேரரசு வைரமுத்து ஆகியோர்
கலந்து கொண்டனர். எம்.என்.ராஜம் அவர்கள் பராசக்தி படம் வெளிவந்த பின்னும்
அந்நாடகம் நடைபெற்றதையும் ரசிகர்கள் உணர்ச்சி வசப்பட்டு வசனங்களைக் கூடவே
ஒப்புவித்ததையும் நடிகர் திலகம் வேண்டிக் கொண்ட பின் அமைதி காத்து மக்களின்
பெருத்த கரகோஷத்துடன் நாடகம் நடைபெற்றதையும் உணர்ச்சியுடன் நினைவு கூர்ந்தார்.
ராதாரவி அவர்களின் உரையும் உணர்ச்சி மேலீட்டால் அமைந்திருந்தது. இடையில்
நமது நடிகர் திலகம் இணையதளம் சார்பில் திரு ஒய்.ஜி.மகேந்திரா அவர்களுக்கு
சிவாஜி சேவா ரத்னா
என்ற பட்டம் ராம்குமார் அவர்களின் திருக்கரங்களால் வழங்கப்பட்டது.

தெருவில் நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு மன்ற தலைவர் பி.எஸ்.சிவாஜி ஸ்ரீதர் தலைமை
தாங்கினார்.
நிர்வாகிகள் ஏ.ஜெயவேலு, டி.தணிகாசலம், டி.மோகன்லால் முன்னிலை வகித்தனர்.

Padmini Pictures Veerapandiya Kattabomman,
was released on 16.05.1959 and completed 50 years of its release
date on 16.05.2009. A function was held at the Russian Cultural
Centre Auditorium at 6.00 p.m. on 16.05.2009. An exhibition
on the Memorabilia was inaugurated by Thiru Stanislav
Simakov, Director, Russian Centre of Science and Culture,
Chennai. The display at the exhibition covered the evolution of
the Stage Play, its Success, evolution to the screen, the film's
phenomenal success at the box office, which also included the images
of the award given to Nadigar Thilagam as the Best Actor, B.R. Panthulu,
Padmini Pictures as the Producer, besides the Shields given to mark
the success of the film at the Box Office. The Exhibition was arranged

was followed by the Function in the evening. Thiru Mohan
V. Raman compered the programme.Thiru G. Ramkumar,

Parthiban, who acted as Jackson Durai in the film, Ms.
B.R. Vijayalakshmi, d/o B.R. Panthulu, the producer,
Mrs. Anuradha S.Ve. Sekhar, grand daughter of Thiru
G. Ramanathan, who got the best Music Director award, at the Afro
Asian Film Festival held at Cairo in March 1960. Thiru M.S.
Ramanujan, Post Master General, Chennai City Region, Chennai,
released the Special Day Cover. Thiru P. Thangappan,
Indo-Russian Culture and Friendship Society, briefed the various
activities of Russian Centre of Science and Culture and recalled
Nadigar Thilagam's association with the Centre. Thiru K.V.P.
Boominathan, President, All India Sivaji Ganesan Rasigar
Mandram, Thiru V.M. Lakshmi Narayanan, Chairman,
Indo Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Thiru R.
Veeramani, Chairman and Managing Director, Gem Granites
and Thiru K.V.S. Maruthu Mohan, "Founder",
President of Tamils Cultural Research Foundation, who is doing his
Ph.D. on Nadigar Thilagam, spoke at the occasion. Thiru D.

Thilagam's 80th Birth Day celebrations commenced in a grand manner with
the function to release Special Day covers at Kalaignar Arangam on 1.10.2008.

The
function was well organised with the disciplined full house of audience
raising to the occasion and proving their class. Thunderous applause marked
each and every song. Mr. Kovai Murali aptly rendered the songs in the
voice of T.M.S., Mr. Vijay Yesudas, son of K.J. Yesudas, singing two numbers,
Ninaivaale Silai Seidhu from Andhaman Kaadhali and Aaraariro Paadiyadhaaro
from Thaaikku Oru Thaalaattu. The man stole the music show was Mr. Raja,
who rendered the song sung by the legendary A.M. Raja, Thenunnum Vandu
from the film Amara Deepam with ease. All the singers including Ms. Kalpana,
Ms. Saindhavi, and all the accompanying instrumentalists did their job
perfectly, making the evening a memorable one. And it was no wonder when
some of the audience outside when leaving the auditorium, remarked "Ivaru
programmela namakku full freedom irukkuppa. Nimmadiya, gedupidi lllama
rasigar mandra show madhiri enjoy panna mudiyudhu".
"Among the scenes beamed on the
screens that evening, the most impact-making one was the natural, underplayed
sequence from S.S. Vasan’s ‘Irumbu Thirai’ that had
Sivaji Ganesan and Vyjayanthimala as lovers. Wish some of our filmmakers
watched it for its incredible finesse and excellent essay!"
