The Hindu in its issue dated 15.07.2011, has published a write-up on the release of Gauravam.
“Even today a Sivaji film draws full house on Sundays, and during the week the strength averages 200. Generally, on weekdays a new film has only around 100 viewers for a show. But Sivaji is still very viable,” contends Murali. He is planning re-runs of ‘Gauravam,’ ‘Engal Thanga Raja’ and ‘Mannavan Vandhaanadi,’ in the weeks to come. “It’s more than mere business for me. I’m a hardcore fan of the actor,” he smiles.

Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan 82nd Birth Day was celebrated at the Kamarajar Hall, Anna Salai, Chennai- 600 006, on 01.10.2010. Dr. Sivaji Memorial Awards were presented to artists & technicians who worked with Nadigar Thilagam. The recipients for this year were, Thiru M. Peethambaram, Make-up Artist, Thiru V. Pandian, Make-up Artist, Thiru A.L. Raghavan, Musician-Actor and Tmt. C. Rajasulochan, Dancer-Actress. Thiru G.K.Vasan, Hon'ble Union Minister for Shipping, Government of India, presented the Awards. A special Cover to mark the occasion was released on late Jai Shankar, fondly remembered as "Makkal Kalaignar". The cover was released by Thiru M.S. Ramanujam, Chennai City Chief Post Master, released the cover and received by the sons of Shri Jai Shankar.

The film got roaring reception at the box office with shows running to packed houses. Sunday, 25.07.2010 evening show witnessed fanfare and gaiety, with the fans from Bengaluru placing huge garland. Russian Centre of Science and Culture Centre felicitates Delegates of Semmozhi Thamiz Conference, June 2010
Russian Centre of Science and Culture, Chennai, Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society, Chennai and Sivaji Prabhu Charities Trust, organized a meeting to wish the success of the Semmozhi Thamiz Conference at Coimbatore, felicitate Russian Tamil Scholars who present paper at the Semmozhi Thamiz Conference, Coimbatore, June 2010 and to honor Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan whose life and glory was blended with Thamiz.
Thiru P. Thangappan, General Secretary, Indo-Russsian Friendship and Cultural Society, welcomed the gathering. Thiru Vladimir Mariy, Director, Russian Centre of Science and Culture, addressed the audience. Dr. Alexander Dubiansky and Ms. Alexeeva Anna, delegates of the Conference were honored at the occasion. Dr. Dubiansky, spoke in Thamiz and enthralled the audience with his clear diction. He was all praise for Nadigar Thilagam and found in him, a good leader, a good humanitarian and declared him as the best actor. The audience responded with roaring applause. Dr. Rajalakshmi spoke in length on how Nadigar Thilagam strove in the propagation of Thamizh. Dr. T.S. Narayanaswamy, who compiled the autobiography of Nadigar Thilagam, was in tears when he spoke about how Nadigar Thilagam faced so many obstacles to raise to such a great position.
The presentation of REMINISCENCES OF SIVAJI GANESAN, by Director Ka.Bharath, in the form of clippings from his films under diferent genres of Thamiz, viz. Iyal Thamiz, Isai Thamiz, Nadaga Thamiz, Pechu Thamiz, Vazhakku Thamiz, etc., took every body down memory lane and brougt tears at the end.

Idhay Vendhan Sivaji Rasigar Mandram 25th Year celebrations
Idhaya Vendhan Sivaji Rasigar Mandram, celebrated its 25th year during the week 26.03.2010 to 01.04.2010. A Sivaji week was organised at the Mahalakshmi Theatre, Chennai. 7 films were screened - Mannavan Vandhaanadi, Gauravam, Engal Thanga Raja, Thiruvarut Chelvar, Bharatha Vilas, Rajapart Rangadurai and Sorkkam in that order. Among the notable celebrities who viewed the films included Y. Gee. Mahendra (Gauravam) and T.M. Soundararajn (Rajapart Rangadurai).
The highlight of the week was the screening of Engal Thanga Raja on Sunday Evening. Our beloved brother, Shri Ramkumar Ganesan, visited the Theatre and distributed freebies to the poor people and addressed the gathering. The Theatre wore Festive look with giant cut outs of Nadigar Thilagam decorated and garlanded. Later in the same evening Shri Vasantha Kumar, M.L.A., visited the Theatre and spoke among the Fans.
On the last day, 01.04.2010, during the interval of the screening of the film Sorkkam, the mandram distributed sarees and dhothis to the theatre staff.
It was not only a memorable evening, but also revival of the period of 70s for many diehard fans of Nadigar Thilagam. A few snaps from these events:
