Idhay Vendhan Sivaji Rasigar Mandram 25th Year celebrations
 
Idhaya Vendhan Sivaji Rasigar Mandram, celebrated its 25th year during the week 26.03.2010 to 01.04.2010. A Sivaji week was organised at the Mahalakshmi Theatre, Chennai. 7 films were screened - Mannavan Vandhaanadi, Gauravam, Engal Thanga Raja, Thiruvarut Chelvar, Bharatha Vilas, Rajapart Rangadurai and Sorkkam in that order. Among the notable celebrities who viewed the films included Y. Gee. Mahendra (Gauravam) and T.M. Soundararajn (Rajapart Rangadurai).
 
The highlight of the week was the screening of Engal Thanga Raja on Sunday Evening. Our beloved brother, Shri Ramkumar Ganesan, visited the Theatre and distributed freebies to the poor people and addressed the gathering. The Theatre wore Festive look with giant cut outs of Nadigar Thilagam decorated and garlanded. Later in the same evening Shri Vasantha Kumar, M.L.A., visited the Theatre and spoke among the Fans.
 
On the last day, 01.04.2010, during the interval of the screening of the film Sorkkam, the mandram distributed sarees and dhothis to the theatre staff.
 

It was not only a memorable evening, but also revival of the period of 70s for many diehard fans of Nadigar Thilagam. A few snaps from these events:
